Abstract

This comprehensive review paper explores the evolving role of Human Resources (HR) in the healthcare sector, particularly in the context of global health challenges and staffing crises. The primary objective is to examine how HR strategies can contribute to workforce sustainability in healthcare, amidst the rapid digital transformation and the burgeoning influence of Fin Tech innovations. The methodology involves a systematic analysis of existing literature and case studies, focusing on innovative HR practices and their impact on workforce management in healthcare. The paper identifies key HR strategies that have proven effective in addressing the unique challenges faced by the healthcare sector. These include the adoption of digital tools for talent management, the integration of Fin Tech solutions for efficient resource allocation, and the implementation of employee wellness programs to combat burnout and turnover. The role of HR in fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability, essential for navigating the dynamic healthcare landscape, is also highlighted. Significant findings demonstrate that strategic HR interventions, particularly those leveraging digital and Fin Tech innovations, can significantly enhance workforce resilience and adaptability. These strategies are crucial in ensuring the healthcare sector’s ability to respond effectively to global health emergencies, such as pandemics, and to manage the ongoing staffing crises. The paper underscores the critical role of HR in redefining workforce sustainability in healthcare. It advocates for a strategic, forward-thinking approach to HR management, one that embraces technological advancements and prioritizes employee well-being, to ensure the healthcare sector’s readiness and resilience in the face of global challenges.
